PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition for a dishwasher that combines two effects of a high cleaning effect and a rinsing effect without using a rinse agent.SOLUTION: A detergent composition for a dishwasher includes: an alkali agent (A); a chelating agent (B); a surfactant (C) shown by general formula (1); and a surfactant (D) shown by general formula (2). In the formula (1), Rdenotes a 10-16C aliphatic hydrocarbon; m denotes a number of 3-6; and n denotes a number of 4-8. In the formula (2), Rdenotes a 10-16C aliphatic hydrocarbon; q denotes a number of 10-20; and r denotes a number of 0-20.
