PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel device, an adjustment program, and a recording medium, capable of preventing deterioration of detection accuracy caused by variation of characteristics of a plurality of light emitting elements and a plurality of light receiving elements, which are provided in the periphery of a contact face of the touch panel device that detects whether there is a light-shielding object on the basis of a result obtained by receiving light emitted from the light emitting elements with the light receiving elements.SOLUTION: A touch panel device 1 performs the steps of: measuring intensity of light received by a light receiving element corresponding to a light emitting element that has emitted the light (a step S3); determining whether a result obtained by the measurement is within a predetermined range (a step S4); adjusting a light emission time so that it will be short (a step S5), if the result obtained by the measurement is higher than an upper limit value and is out of the range (a step S4:2); and adjusting a light emission time so that it will be long (a step S6), if the result obtained by the measurement is lower than a lower limit value and is out of the range (a step S4:2). |
