The videography device and videography method of the present invention relate to videography devices and the application field of videography. Videography devices of the prior art rely on the subjective experience of a user for the selection of an object to be filmed, being thus low in efficiency and prone to omissions. The videography device and videography method of the present invention are based on pre-stored information of objects to be filmed, augmented by a sequential order; when particular objects to be filmed are designated, indication information of such particular objects acquired from the information of objects to be filmed is displayed to serve as the indication information of the present object to be filmed. Then, when a switch instruction is issued, a switch to information designating the particular object to be filmed is made according to order in the sequence. In addition, filming speed and recording quality are improved, and omissions are less likely.
