The present invention relates to a carrier tape feeder of a tape guide separation type and, particularly, to a carrier tape feeder of a tape guide separation type which is capable of minimizing the stoppage of the process by setting up the carrier tape feeder so as to be suited for a structure or supply conditions changed by the separation and replacement of a tape guide if the structure or supply conditions of a carrier tape is changed. The carrier tape feeder comprises an input module for receiving a carrier tape having electronic components; and a tape guide for exposing the electronic components by separating a cover tape from the input carrier tape, wherein the tape guide is formed with an independent module structure to be separated from an installation frame on which the input module is arranged.
