PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass pane and a glass door having a mesh-like conductive layer with a periodical mesh pattern such as a lattice pattern for heating a translucent surface, which reduces a Moire effect when periodical patterned object such as a screen door or an image display panel is superimposed and prevents variation in shading of the mesh.SOLUTION: A glass pane 10 has a translucent surface heating element 3 including a mesh-like conductive layer 2 having a mesh pattern 2P which defines many openings A on a transparent glass base plate 1. The mesh pattern is formed from many boundary lines L for defining an opening extending between two branch points B, satisfying the following three conditions: (a) 3.0≤N<4.0, where N represents the average of the number of boundary lines extending from one branch point; (b) the shapes of openings include a plurality of polygons selected from a pentagon, a hexagon, and a heptagon, with the largest number of hexagonal openings; and (c) the shapes of polygons having the same number of sides are not equal.
