PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backside protective sheet for solar battery modules having good weather resistance at low cost by a method for forming a weather resistant coating layer for an outermost layer.SOLUTION: The backside protective sheet for solar battery modules comprises: a base material layer 60 made of a first primary agent resin including modified polyphenylene ether which is superior in adhesion with sealant; a weather resistant coating layer 61 formed on an outermost surface of the backside protective sheet; and an intermediate layer 62 formed between the base material layer 60 and the weather resistant coating layer 61. The weather resistant coating layer 61 includes a second primary agent resin, in which the second primary agent resin has a hydroxyl value of 18-100, and the mass of an NCO group of a polyisocyanate compound is 0.8-14.0 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of the second primary agent resin. The intermediate layer 62 is formed so that the second primary agent resin is mixed in the first primary agent resin.
