PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine using the power from a solar cell for stabilizing the temperature in a chamber.SOLUTION: The vending machine includes: a solar cell 1; a storage battery 32 for storing the power generated by the solar cell 1; storage chambers including plural commodity storage chambers; storage chamber fans 27a, 27b and 27c each provided to the respective storage chambers for circulating the air through the respective storage chambers; a charging unit 31 that charges the storage battery 32 with the power generated by the solar cell 1; a generation amount detecting unit 36 that detects the power generated by the solar cell 1; and a power supply switching unit 35 that supplies the power to the storage chamber fans 27a, 27b and 27c from either one of the solar cell 1, the storage battery 32 and a commercial power supply. When the generation amount of the power detected by the generation amount detecting unit 36 exceeds a predetermined amount, and when the storage battery 32 is not being charged with the power generated by the solar cell 1 through the charging unit 31, the power supply switching unit 35 supplies the power generated by the solar cell 1 to the storage chamber fans 27a, 27b and 27c. |
