PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify paper sheaf binding work.SOLUTION: A binding implement 1 for use in binding a paper sheaf crosswise with strings includes a paper stacking base 2 having a bottom face plate 21 that can place the paper sheaf, and a hook implement 3 disposed on the side opposite to the side where paper is stacked on the bottom face plate 21 to hook the strings with the bottom face plate 21 therebetween. The bottom face plate 21 is substantially formed to be a quarter of a fourfold size of a newspaper. Furthermore, the bottom face plate 21 is inclined so that a region not abutting on the bottom face plate 21 of the lower face of the paper sheaf is higher than a region abutting on the bottom face plate 21 of the lower face of the paper sheaf. The hook implement 3 is formed by curving a metal plate so that a cross section is formed in a J-shape, and the strings are hooked by a curved hook 31. The hook implement 3 is disposed so that the inner peripheral surface of the curved hook 31 faces the installed direction of the paper stacking base 2. |
