A liquid crystal display panel and a display device employing same. The liquid crystal display panel (100) comprises a first substrate (110), a second substrate (120), a liquid crystal layer (130) and a quarter wavelength phase difference sheet (160, 170). The liquid crystal layer (130) is formed between the first substrate (110) and the second substrate (120). The second substrate (120) comprises a second electrode (121). The second electrode (121) comprises a backbone part (124) and a plurality of branch parts (125). The backbone part (124) and the branch parts (125) have a first angle and a second angle therebetween, wherein the first angle is 45 degrees, and the second angle is less than or more than 45 degrees. The quarter wavelength phase difference sheet (160, 170) is adhered to the outside surfaces of the first substrate (110) and the second substrate (120) respectively. Thus, the problems of colour shift and transmittance reduction of the liquid crystal display panel (100) are improved. |
