PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve output power characteristics and cycling characteristics when lithium transition metal complex oxide hardly or not containing cobalt but containing nickel and tungsten is used in a positive electrode composition.SOLUTION: A positive electrode composition for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a lithium transition metal complex oxide represented by the general formula LiNiCoMWMO, where 1.0≤a≤1.5, 0≤x≤0.5, 0≤y≤0.5, 0.002≤z≤0.03, 0≤w≤0.02, 0≤x+y≤0.7, Mrepresents at least one selected from the group consisting of Mn and Al, and Mrepresents at least one selected from the group consisting of Zr, Ti, Mg, Ta, Nb and Mo; and a boron compound comprising at least boron element and oxygen element. |
