PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To format video data having a different native aspect ratio relative to a display device.SOLUTION: A native aspect ratio of a displayed video content is determined, and an optimized viewing mode (e.g., a normal viewing mode, a full viewing mode, or a zoom viewing mode) is selected based at least in part on the native aspect ratio of the video content. The video content is displayed in the optimized viewing format.
