<p>The present invention provides a water-retarding chamber structure capable of reducing construction cost and increasing energy gain. A water-retarding structure for a wave-power energy conversion device for wave-power generation that converts wave energy into mechanical energy using the vertical motion of the water surface, wherein a perpendicularly oriented parallel wall is disposed parallel to the installation surface of the structure, and the space between the installation surface and the parallel wall is divided by a perpendicularly oriented partition wall, whereby a configuration is adopted in which a group of water-retarding chambers created by arranging a plurality of water-retarding chambers in a row along the installation surface is formed, and the direction in which the water-retarding chambers are arranged has the same orientation as the direction of motion of the waves. The end section of the parallel wall and the installation surface are diagonally linked at the end section of the group of water-retarding chambers, a perpendicularly oriented waveguide wall being disposed to suppress the force of impact of waves acting on the end section of the group of water-retarding chambers.</p> |
