PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of outputting variable wavelength light and a light output device, an optical interference tomographic device, and a computer readable recording medium.SOLUTION: The light output device controls at least either one of magnitude and on/off time of currents applied respectively to a first gain medium of a first light generation part and a second gain medium of a second light generation part to control respective output sizes and wavelength ranges of first variable wavelength light generated at the first light generation part and second variable wavelength light generated at the second light generation part, generates the first variable wavelength light having a first central wavelength at its center on the basis of the current applied to the first gain medium of the first light generation part, generates the second variable wavelength light having a second central wavelength at its center on the basis of the current applied to the second gain medium of the second light generation part, and outputs third variable wavelength light by coupling the first variable wavelength light and the second variable wavelength light.
