PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element having excellent color purity and high light emission efficiency, and also to provide a light source or the like utilizing characteristics as a surface emitter such as a flat panel display for a low power consumption OA computer and a wall-mounted television, a display plate, the light source for a makeup lamp and a copy machine, backlight sources for liquid crystal display and instruments, by using the element.SOLUTION: An organic film for an organic electroluminescent element includes: a charge transport material and a compound having absorption within a visible light area, and at least one of materials contained in the organic film contains crosslinking bond.
