PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric kettle which includes a pouring passage, an opening/closing mechanism of the pouring passage, and a steam path in a lid body, and which can attain cutoff when falling down and whose cost can be reduced with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A lid body 5 is provided with: a pouring passage 6 for pouring a content liquid 16 from the front part of the upper end of a container body 4; an opening/closing mechanism 7 for opening/closing the pouring passage 6; and a steam path 8 for releasing steam outside. The steam path 8 has an outflow prevention portion 8a when falling down which stores or detours the content liquid 16 flowing in when the container body 4 falls down and which thereby delays or prevents the content liquid from reaching a steam outlet 47 on the outside of the lid body 5. The container body is provided with a spout 13 connected to the pouring outlet 17 and projecting from the front part of the upper end. The lid body 5 is provided with a pouring lid 70a extending over the spout 13 from the pouring outlet 17 and covering the spout 13. |
