PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light condensing member used in a surface plasmon enhanced fluorescence sensor which does not reduce light condensing efficiency, thereby not reducing an S/N value, and also does not increase a gap between a reaction layer and optical detection means.SOLUTION: A light condensing member 32 is used in the surface plasmon enhanced fluorescence sensor which irradiates one side face of a metallic thin film 12 with excitation light 20 to enhance an electric field on the metallic thin film, thereby exciting a fluorescent material of a reaction layer 14 formed on the other side face of the metallic thin film and detecting fluorescent light thus enhanced with optical detection means 30. The light condensing member is disposed between the reaction layer and the optical detection means, and comprises a total reflection functional member 34 for condensing the excited fluorescent light and causing the fluorescent light to reach the optical detection means under the condition of total reflection. The total reflection functional member has a column-shaped column body part, a top face of which is configured to be opposite to the optical detection means and a bottom face of which is configured to be opposite to the reaction layer. |
