The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a wood-plastic composite (WPC), comprising a thermal mixer (13) with a tank-shaped mixing container (14) and a mixing assembly (15) arranged therein for the purpose of dehumidifying wood particles (2) and mixing said wood particles with a polymer material (3) to obtain a raw mixture (26); a cutter-compacter (16) downstream of the thermal mixer and comprising a tank-shaped container (17) and at least one cutting tool (18) arranged therein for comminuting and compacting the raw mixture; and a granulating device (20) downstream of the cutter-compacter for the purpose of granulating the mixture produced by said cutter-compacter. |
