A non-display signal coding method applicable to a matrix substrate. The matrix substrate comprises multiple electrodes, which are arranged in an interlaced manner and used for transmitting multiple display signals and multiple non-display signals. The non-display signal coding method comprises: in a first time period, at least one of the electrodes transmitting the non-display signals; and at least one external object being coupled to and receiving at least a part of the non-display signals, wherein the non-display signals at least have three states: a first state, a second state, and a third state or a combination thereof, and the first state, the second state, and the third state are different from each other. Also disclosed is a matrix substrate. |
