A plurality of channels (28) extending along a sealing material are formed with spaces therebetween in the direction of width of the sealing material on a liquid crystal layer (50) side surface of an array substrate (20). Furthermore, some or all of the plurality of channels formed more to the display region (D) side than the middle part of the sealing material in the direction of width are filled with an oriented film (27), and the sealing material and oriented film are in contact. On the side opposite to the display region side from the middle part of the sealing material in the direction of width, the sealing material and array substrate are directly in contact without the intermediary of the oriented film. |
