A vertical external cavity surface emitting laser having a lens duct is provided to improve a connection efficiency and reduce a light loss caused by a lens by using the lens duct. A vertical external cavity surface emitting laser having a lens duct includes a laser chip, an external mirror(27), a pump laser(21), and a lens duct(22). The laser chip emits a light of a first wavelength by a light pumping scheme. The external mirror is opposite to a front plane of the laser chip. The pump laser provides a light for the light pumping of a second wavelength to the laser chip. The lens duct has a light incident plane opposite to the pump laser, and a light emission plane opposite to a rear plane of the laser chip. The lens duct guides the light emitted from the pump laser to the laser chip by total reflection. |
