PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mount type piezoelectric oscillator which responds to downsizing and high frequency trends and excels in impact resistance performance.SOLUTION: The surface mount type piezoelectric oscillator comprises: an insulation quality base 1 having formed therein a housing section which is rectangular in a plan view and a plurality of wiring portions; an integrated circuit element 2; and a piezoelectric vibration element 3 which is rectangular in a plan view. The surface mount type piezoelectric oscillator comprises: a holding table adjoining one short side of the piezoelectric vibration element on the side of one short side of the housing section of the base; a first pillow table for the other short side of the piezoelectric vibration element, the first pillow table being part on the side of the other short side of the housing section of the base and being equal in height to the holding table or lower than that; and a second and a third pillow table for the two long sides of the piezoelectric vibration element, the second and the third pillow table being part on the side of two long sides of the housing section of the base and being equal in height to the holding table or lower than that. In other regions on the side of the other short side and on the side of two long sides of the housing section of the base where the first, the second and the third pillow tables are not formed, a first, a second and a third wiring portion for the integrated circuit element are formed at a position lower than any of the pillow tables. |
