PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner that reduces noise generated from a light-shielding member shielding flare light and a deflector to shield flare light, and expands a scanning field angle to output high-quality images.SOLUTION: Deflection means 7 for deflecting light beams from a plurality of light sources is provided, and a light-shielding member 2 that shields reflection light from scanning lenses 8 of a scanning optical system is arranged outside deflection scanning areas a and b of the light beams deflected by the deflection means and emitted to the scanning optical system. A second light-shielding member 2a provided in a non-effective area j on a side where an optical path guided by synchronization detection means 11 is not provided is arranged in the proximity of the deflection means, so as to shield the reflection light from the first and second scanning lenses 8 and passes in the vicinity of the deflection means 7. At this time, an arrangement space for the light-shielding member is secured to secure a synchronization optical path c without consideration of intentionally reducing a scanning field angle. |
