PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a chain protecting device so that a use range thereof can be increased by an excellent protective action and holding force.SOLUTION: A first locking recessed part (11) and at least one second locking recessed part (12) are formed with an interval to the first locking recessed part (11) in the direction toward an insertion hole (4), to be located on the region of a front end (10) of a chain protecting device, on at least one sidewall out of two sidewalls (5, 6) of the chain protecting device (3). The first locking recessed part (11) and the second locking recessed part (12) include arched locking faces (14, 15) at the front end (10) side respectively, for shape constraining locking acting in the direction of a longitudinal axis (9) of the chain protecting device (3), with the cutting chains (13) of cutting sets (2) with different lengths (L). |
