The flood protection system has multiple water-filled identical hollow bodies (11) coupled behind one another. The hollow bodies have one side and another side over a portion of their height, where sides are provided with engaging units. The two sides lie against each other in a sealing manner, when the engaging units are in engagement. The former side is convex and the latter side is concave. Two hollow bodies are coupled with each other in multiple different relative positions that are rotated against each other around a vertical axis.
