The device has a hollow cylindrical pot (1) retaining a food product, and a comminution tool (2) i.e. knife, arranged at a bottom of the pot. A press plunger (3) is rotatably arranged in the pot. The plunger comprises a driver (4) over which a rotational torque applied on the press plunger is transferred to the product clamped between the bottom and the plunger. The plunger is formed by a hollow body with a retaining chamber (8) for the product. The driver is arranged at a lower side of the plunger. A closable filling opening is arranged at an upper side of the plunger. The comminution tool is designed as a milling tool or a cutting tool.
