A fuel or reformer cell (100) comprising a two opposing flow-field plates (130b,130a) is described wherein a boundary area (150b) of a flow-field plate (130b) is spun over or crimped to at least partially encompass the boundary area (150a) of the opposing flow-field plate (130a). The cell (100) optionally may comprise sealant lines (180a-180d) arranged between the boundary areas (150a,150b) or at least one isolating frame (140) at least partially encompassed by the spun-over or crimped boundary area (150b).
