The device (1) has an electric voltage generating power source (3) that generates a regulated voltage or current, and fed to a remote monitoring unit (5). The remote monitoring unit which is incorporated between the voltage source and a liquid or gaseous medium-carrying metallic pipeline (2), monitors the regulated voltage and/or current to be supplied to the pipeline, and the corrosion protection parameters of the pipeline. A control unit (4) controls switching of a pulse width modulation electronic relay (7), according to the corrosion protection parameters. |
