<p>The present invention concerns a protective wall system (1) enclosing a danger zone around an alternator (35), comprising a front wall (3) at a front end, a back wall (4) at a back end and two side walls (5, 6) connecting the front wall (3) with the back wall (4). The side walls (5, 6) extend essentially parallel to a longitudinal axis (2) of the alternator (35), the alternator (35) having a rotor (36) and a stator (42) and being enclosed by a first casing (8). A service area surrounds the first casing (8). In addition to a gas-tight front wall (3), back wall (4) and gas-tight side walls (5, 6), said wall system (1) has a gas-tight bottom and is provided with means for guiding gas and/or heat from a bottom part of the alternator (35) toward the upper part thereof.</p> |
