<p>An adhesive for use in securing rings of "Gold Seal Cap Compound," which is a composition of rubber latex, gum karaya, sodium carbonate and bentonite sold under that registered Trade Mark, and other gaskets used in vacuum-sealed canisters, comprises a mixture of soft manilla 34 parts, Kaolin 33 parts, methylated spirits 28 parts and castor oil 5 parts, all by weight. It is stated to be sold as "Necol Cement KZ2085." The adhesive may be thinned by the addition of ammonia solution and glycerine. Specification 389,041, [Group XVII], is referred to.</p> |
