摘要 The surface of one side of an acrylic board is sand-blasted with large sand particles in a primary process, and then, the same surface is sand-blasted with smaller sand particles in a secondary process. A portion of small second grooves formed by the secondary process are on the inner surfaces of bigger first grooves formed by the first process, thereby forming a multiple groove structure, and the remaining grooves are formed on the smooth surfaces outside the first grooves. The first and the second processes each form pixels (grooves) which are responsible for approximately 20-40% and 60-80%, respectively, of the overall brightness of light emitted by the light guiding panel. Another round of sand-blasting is possible with still smaller sand particles. Compared with a conventional light guiding panel processed with one-time processing using uniformly sized sand particles, the light guiding panel processed with a multiple processing method widens the light divergence angle of the light emitted from the upper surface of the light guiding panel to 130-170 degrees, improves the light efficiency by approximately 20%, and the uniformity of luminance on the surface of the light guiding panel is shown to be 93% or higher.
