Lowering device for boats

The lowering device has ropes (4) designed as plastic ropes, where windlasses (6) with rope drums (7) are arranged in an area of a davit head (5) for controlling the plastic ropes. The plastic ropes, including the windlasses and rope drums, are completely enclosed by a protective cover (9). External areas of two arms (1) of a telescope or sliding bar design are connected over a crossbar (10).
