The present invention is to provide a method for selectively and rapidly removing high density lipoprotein (HDL) from a blood sample. A method for removing high density lipoprotein from a blood sample, which includes contacting the blood sample with a pore silica under the conditions of pH 3.0 to 6.5 to form a complex composed of the pore silica and the high density lipoprotein, and separating the complex from the blood sample. |
