PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate molding device for molding a three-dimensionally shaped article, wherein a large-sized shaped article can be molded with a small covering frame, and the using amount of an atmospheric gas is reduced. SOLUTION: The laminate molding device 1 is provided with: a base 22; a material holding frame 34 surrounding the base 22 and holding a powder layer 32; a powder layer forming part 3 for forming the powder layer 32; a covering frame 36 of which the upper face is provided with a window 36a permeating a light beam L and also the lower face is opened, and which moves on the horizontal plane of the material holding frame 34 so as to cover the powder layer 32; and a light beam irradiation part 4 for irradiating the powder layer 32 with light beam L so as to form a solidified layer 33. The projection area of the covering frame 36 is smaller than the area of a processing area E on which a shaped article 11 is molded. Since the covering frame 11 moves while covering the powder layer 32, even if the covering frame 36 is small, the area of the processing area E is made widen so as to mold a large-sized shaped article 11, and since the projection area of the covering frame 36 is small, the using amount of an atmospheric gas can be reduced.
