The invention relates to a method for reusing grinding dust from the production of gypsum fiberboards or gypsum plasterboard waste containing gypsum and paper fibers, having the following steps: increasing the particle size of the gypsum in the grinding dust to an average particle size of 20 to 60 µm by converting into a-gypsum; introducing the gypsum with the increased particle size into a gypsum preparation in a quantity of 1 to 50 wt.% with respect to the gypsum fraction in order to produce gypsum fiberboards.
