The present invention discloses a contact for a connector capable of forming an electrical contact with an external element, having a structure not disconnected with an adjacent contact, and suppressing the oxidation of components without forming a high priced plating layer. The contact electrically connected with the external element such as a flexible flat cable includes a base electrically connected with an external device by being formed on the bottom of a support part and a first and second contact pieces extended from the top of the support part and in which the external element is placed. Two or more contact parts touching a conductive pattern formed on a surface of the external element are formed on the top of the second contact piece. Each contact part formed on the second contact piece has a flat shape. In addition, a predetermined space is formed between two adjacent contact parts so that each contact part can independently touch the conductive pattern. The contact includes a single metal layer formed on a surface of the basic material of a metal material and the signal metal layer is only formed on a surface of the second contact piece. The single metal layer is a nickel layer. |
