PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to determine a subtitle reliably.SOLUTION: An attribute buffer 123 holds at least font style specification information for specifying a font style applied to the character object for a subtitle held in a character object buffer 122, and color specification information for specifying the color of outline about a character object corresponding to a font style with an outline. When a font style with an outline is specified in the font style specification information, a font rasterizer 124 acquires the font style data of a font style with an outline, updates the font style data on the basis of the color specification information, and converts a character object into subtitle data by using at least the updated font style data. The invention is applicable to a reproducer. |
