A phenolic resin foam is provided to stably maintain an insulation performance for a long period of time, have high pH, and thus inhibit the corrosion occurrence of metal when contacting a metal material. The phenolic resin foam is formed by expanding and hardening an expandable phenolic resin composition containing a phenolic resin, a blowing agent, an acidic catalyst, and an inorganic filler. The blowing agent contains a C1-8 aliphatic hydrocarbon. The inorganic filler is selected from metal hydroxides, metal oxides, metal carbonates, and metallic powder. A pH of the phenolic resin foam is 5 or higher. A molar ratio of phenol to aldehyde in the phenolic resin is in the range of 1:1 to 1:3. |
