The present invention relates to an automatic folding type apparatus for display devices. The folding type apparatus for display devices comprises a fixing plate fixed to the ceiling surface of a car; a pair of guide rails installed to the fixing plate; a pair of guides slid along the guide rails; a moving plate detachable from a display device; a fixing hinge of which one end is fixed to the guide and the other end is fixed to the moving plate; a lever of which one end is hinge-fixed to the fixing plate and the other end is hinge-fixed to the rear surface of the moving plate by the lever hinge attached to both ends, and which is foldable while the upper part of the moving plate slides. The present invention is to prevent a safety accident such as head injuries in a crash by solving the space limitation of a gate by maximally approaching the display device to the front glass of the car when the display device is extended, and to provide an effective space without damage to a screen by facing a plate for fixing the display device towards the rear surface instead of the screen when the display device is folded.
