PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio device that can realize a DFS function taking the prevention of interference with radar into consideration in an ad-hoc mode in a multi-hop environment. SOLUTION: A radio device having a DFS function carrying out the prevention of interference with radar controls, in the case it has received a beacon frame, such that it will change the quiet count of the radio device to the quite count included in the beacon if the value of the quiet count included in the beacon is smaller than the value of the quiet count of the radio device, and it will ignore the beacon frame if the value of the quiet count included in the beacon is larger than the value of the quiet count of the radio device.
