A channel estimation apparatus includes a pilot symbol extractor, a least square channel estimator, a Kalman filter and a Wiener filter. The pilot symbol extractor extracts a plurality of pilot symbols from symbols of multiple frequency domains. The least square channel estimator compares the extracted multiple pilot symbols with a plurality of reference pilot symbols and generates a plurality of least square channel frequency responses. The Kalman filter performs Kalman filtering on the least square channel frequency responses. The Wiener filter performs the Wiener filtering on the Kalman filtered least square channel frequency responses.
