PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner, in which action of an electric blower is automatically controllable corresponding to the kind of a cleaning member and the cleaning action of a worker. SOLUTION: A control means 51 detects the attitude of a hand-operated part 42 through acceleration sensors 54X, 54Y, and 54Z to estimate the kind of the cleaning member connected to the end side of a hose member and the cleaning action of the worker. When the attitude of the hand-operated part 42 is a predetermined attitude as set preliminarily, the electric blower 17 is operated in an action mode set by a setting button 47. When the attitude of the hand-operated part 42 is other than the predetermined attitude, the electric blower 17 is operated with a preliminarily set input W1 that is lower than the maximum input regardless of the setting of the setting button 47.
