A resolution adjustment apparatus in an image sensor-embedded LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to output an image signal suitable for the preference of a user by increasing or decreasing the resolution of a scanned image signal in the case of scanning an object and outputting the scanned image signal. A resolution adjustment apparatus in an image sensor-embedded LCD comprises an image sensor-embedded liquid crystal panel(31), the first data conversion part(32), an amplifier(34), and an A/D converter(35). An image sensor is arranged at each of the pixels of the liquid crystal panel. Using the image sensors, the liquid crystal panel outputs document or image information or location information. The first data conversion part lowers the resolution of a scanned image signal inputted through the liquid crystal panel and outputs the image signal. The amplifier amplifies and outputs the image signal outputted from the data conversion part. The A/D converter converts the analog image signal, outputted from the amplifier, into a digital signal and outputs the converted signal. |
