The present invention relates to water repellent fabric and a method for manufacturing water repellent fabric. The method for manufacturing water repellent fabric includes a water repellent liquid immersion step of immersing yarn into water repellent liquid, infiltrating water repellent liquid into the yarn, and coating the yarn with water repellent liquid, a drying step of removing water and drying the yarn, a yarn heat setting step of fixing the water repellent liquid to the yarn by heating the water repellent liquid, a weaving step of manufacturing fabric by weaving the yarn, a fabric dyeing step of dyeing the fabric, a softening step of washing the fabric and softening the fabric, and a tentering step of drying, stretching in the width direction, and heating the softened fabric. The water repellent fabric manufactured by the method has improved water repellent ability and durability because water repellent liquid infiltrates into the whole yarn and the yarn is completely coated with the water repellent liquid.
