PURPOSE: A method for providing an advertisement using a smart phone is provided to expose a user to the advertisement naturally without causing an inconvenience to the user when the user uses the smart phone and it is not time to execute an application to execute a specific function. CONSTITUTION: A dedicated application(App) is installed and is executed in the background in the type of Daemon(S110). While the application is executed in the fore ground, advertisement ring back tone audio data is received and stored in the local by accessing to a service server through a wired/wireless internet network(S120). The daemon monitors whether a connection trial event of an out-going call is generated by an operation system of the smart phone while it is executed in the background(S130). The daemon performs deactivation so that operating system of the smart phone is not able to play the ring back tone through a speaker of the smart phone(S140). The stored ring back tone audio data is played instead of the ring back tone, and the daemon judges whether the ring back tone is a calling or a call connection tone in advance(S150). The daemon selects one of the stored advertisement ring back tone audio data(S160), and plays the selected one through the speaker instead of the ring back tone(S170). The daemon counts playback frequency or playback time of the advertisement ring back tone audio data(S180). The daemon accesses to the service server and transmits the count result as the count is performed(S190).
