[Class 44.] The outer pin tumblers 17 of a revolving-barrel lock are cut away at 18 so that if the tumblers are pressed outwards while a torque is applied to the barrel 12, a surface 20 engages with a groove 21 on the outer casing and further movement of the tumblers is prevented ; the surface 20 preferably engages with a parallel surface in the groove. A second groove 22 may be provided to engage the surface 20 if the barrel is turned the other way.</p> |
