A ballpoint pen type utility knife is disclosed. The present invention comprises: a cutting blade; a case which receives the cutting blade therein and allows the cutting blade to protrude to the outside; a protrusion which moves along a movement groove formed on the outer surface of the case and is inserted into a hanging jaw of the movement groove; a button part in which the cutting blade is supported to one side thereof; and a spring which surrounds the front end of the cutting blade and is elastically compressed when the protrusion of the button part is fitted to the hanging jaw of the case and returns the cutting blade to the original position thereof when the protrusion of the button part is drawn out of the hanging jaw of the case through the elastic restoring force. According to the present invention, a user easily handles the utility knife using a small amount of power because the cutting blade can protrude when the user presses a button part and can safely and conveniently use the utility knife because the spring absorbs the shock. |
