The present invention relates to a variable resistance device and a manufacturing method thereof and, more particularly, to the variable resistance device with a space part and the manufacturing method thereof capable of facilitating manufacturing processes. The variable resistance device according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a body part which includes a plurality of semiconductor ceramic sheets with semiconductor properties and an internal electrode which is formed between the semiconductor ceramic sheets and a space part which is formed in the internal electrode of the body part and is empty by partially exposing the internal electrode.
