A broadcast receiver for providing advertisement information and its operation method are provided to offer supplementary information of an advertisement broadcast received from an external server to a different network device according to a user request. A network module(112) performs data communication with an advertisement service server(130) existing in an external network. When a user's request for supplementary information with respect to a currently viewed advertisement broadcast is inputted, a controller(122) requests supplementary information with respect to the advertisement broadcast from the advertisement service server via a network module(112), receives the supplementary information of the advertisement broadcast from the advertisement service server, and provides the same. An advertisement menu providing unit(116) provides an advertisement menu for receiving an immediate view instruction, a storage instruction or a delete instruction of the user with respect to the supplementary information of the advertisement broadcast. |
