The device (30) has an annular support structure (31) mounted around a wheel rim (10) for supporting a tire cover (20) and divided into ring sectors (32) which are mutually articulated by connection units. The axles are fixed on two connection ends relative to the sectors and are connected by a pin or articulated attachment (33b) which extends in a circumferential direction of the device.
