An express orthesis for the cervical division of the backbone contains the collar made of thermoplastic material such as foaming polyethylene. The lower part of the collar is designed as the wings that are extended in the frontal plane in the direction of acromial-clavicular joints. The length of the wings provides for enclosing the shoulder girdle. On the surface of the collar contacting the neck in the projection of such anatomical structures as vascular and nervous fibers, thyroid, larynx, and trachea, the niches are made, 3- in depth (but not more than half of the collar thickness) and the width not exceeding the that of the areas indicated by 5-. |
